Beckman comes to Scierka Lang after almost nine years as the Economic Development Director for the Town of Old Saybrook. Susie brings a diverse background in the public and private sector to her new position including experience in Public Affairs, Marketing, Financial Development, Public Policy Research and Project Administration.

Serendipity transplanted Susie and husband, Phil, in Ivoryton in 1997 when the Navy stationed Phil at the Groton Submarine Base. The Beckmans cherish the quality of life they experience in the Lower Connecticut River Valley and believe it was the ideal place to raise their two children, both now in college.
