• Produce exceptional community events including the Chili-Fest and Arts & Crafts Festival

Serve as the voice of business and be a compelling force in the success of member businesses
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
• Serve as a conduit between business and government
• Facilitate meetings of business and government officials
• Collaborate with and leverage the resources available from CBIA and other allied organizations to maximize influence
• Educate members on business issues and candidate positions by holding candidate forums
EDUCATION
• Position the Chamber as a source of education and information to support the vitality of business
• Be a steward of resources available to businesses
• Provide a platform for members to share information among each other regarding ideas, questions and advice

Attract
Support tourism and economic development to benefit business and community
ECONOMIC & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Collaborate with the Economic Development Commission to attract and maintain businesses and jobs
• Serve as a resource center for business by providing member information to residents, callers and visitors
TOURISM
• Promote the cultural, historical, recreational and business assets of the town
• Collaborate with organizations regionally to attract visitors and tourists
• Provide member, community and visitor resource materials via the Chamber website, Chamber office, phone calls and mailings -

Be sustained by a growing membership, dedicated leadership and staff
MEMBERSHIP
• Strengthen membership to represent a diversity of businesses in the Old Saybrook area
• Maintain the strength of the Chamber through an engaged and growing membership • Utilize a strong Ambassador Team to welcome and engage member businesses
FUTURE GROWTH
• Create a Chamber Foundation Task Force to explore the development of an Old Saybrook Chamber Foundation
• Explore development of Leadership Old Saybrook over the next 3 years
CHAMBER EXCELLENCE
• Invest in technology to support the applications and communications of a leading chamber
• Utilize US Chamber Accreditation requirements as a framework for excellence
