The Guild of Salt Marsh Opera is proud to present a new lecture by James Kuslan. A frequent lecturer and writer on opera topics, James can charm, amuse and educate an audience with his brilliant commentary.
Join us at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 9 to hear: Whose Voice is That? James Kuslan's new talk explores with humor what it sounds like when opera singers perform repertoire foreign to their accustomed vocal categories and, giving Wagner, Verdi, Puccini, Mozart and Strauss a rest, take Broadway, jazz or even more surprising repertoire for their grand instruments out for a spin. The talk is illustrated by numerous sound clips, some quite rare, all a pleasure to hear.
