    Event Description:
    PLOT (Progressive Leaders of Today) members are meeting at 30 Mile Brewing on Monday, February 25 for "Local Leader Spotlight" featuring Ryan Duques.

    Ryan Duques is the co-founder and former publisher of Old Saybrook's Harbor News newspaper. Ryan’s entrepreneurship has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Rolling Stone Magazine. As a veteran entrepreneur, he has launched, successfully operated and exited multiple traditional and digital media companies including Shore
     Publishing, which would become Connecticut’s second largest newspaper company. Ryan brought his passion for digital innovation to the education sector, founding TutaPoint, where he designed and deployed one of the top rated online academic support firms, which provides assistance to thousands of students across the globe.
    Ryan has leveraged his experience for designing systems that mine, process and create value from mass amounts of data to build the data engine for startup Neirbi Analytics. Ryan is an Executive in Residence for Connecticut Innovation's VC backed firms, is a bank director where he is the chair of the Technology Committee and is the chairman of Madison's Economic Development Commission.

    Ryan is a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he earned his bachelor degree in Operations Management.

    PLOT is a dynamic group of young leaders ages 21-40ish who live or work in the Shoreline area.  PLOT offers opportunities to engage with the Chamber and Shoreline communities, build professional networks and friendships, advocate for local businesses, and volunteer to make a difference.
