The Community Music School proudly reports that it continued to make music throughout its 2020-2021 school year, despite the unique challenges posed by COVID-19. Most importantly, the school safely conducted 5,000 in-person private lessons and over 2,500 virtual music lessons. In addition, its two largest musical ensembles rehearsed throughout the year, and a full slate of in-person workshops and programs are planned for this summer. As a non-profit organization, 65% of the funding for the school’s musical education and appreciation activities comes from tuition, while the rest is raised by generous donations from community-minded donors.
