This workshop is designed for painting fresh flowers with combinations of beautiful still life objects. Students will be introduced to different approaches for starting (blocking-in). Discussion will include what specifically to look for while setting your still life and how masters do it. Topics to be covered in the workshop include how to paint various types of florals by looking at their simplified forms and shapes; mixing varieties of greens; creating harmony and unity; discussing problems which arise at the finishing stage; keeping strong emphasis on the focal point and good design; and mastery of edges and brushwork. Instructor will provide with demos and full personal attention. Everyone will go home with beautiful paintings! All floral settings, including beautiful objects, will be provided.
