Finding Your Zen through College Classes
Learn to create different layers with cut papers overlapping and under lapping them into a pleasing composition. Then create a focal point altering it with glazing or gesso and finishing your composition with ink, charcoal sticks and or pencil. Each week explore and learn to handle a different collage material: textiles, found objects, nature and photographs. Last two weeks are devoted to using your collage skills to create a final story. All levels of collage artists are welcome. Everyone works at their own pace and level of experience. Material list available and for even more variety there is a $10 material fee paid directly to the instructor for use of her abundant supplies throughout this 5 week class. Teaching Artist Regina Thomas loves the uniqueness and freedom to delve into so many mediums and specializes in collage and mixed media.
