Safety & Emergencies – Each student will use a fire extinguisher, as well as execute hacks to prevent and manage emergencies and common household safety issues. Students will learn about such common issues as how to shut off main power, fuse boxes, circuit breakers, and what to do in case of a power outage, electrical issue, burst pipe, basement flood, fire, or a natural disaster. A handout with resources and information will be provided. Lyme Emergency Management Director, Deputy Fire Chief, & SAIC Principal Program Manager, John Evans, will be presenting.
